April 14, 2026 – Join us at Albany International Airport to honor and cheer on our veterans as they embark on the Leatherstocking Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.! The public is warmly invited to participate in the sendoff at 6:00 AM and the welcome home event at approximately 10:30 PM, both held at the airport. Everyone is encouraged to show their support by creating signs and banners. Your messages of appreciation truly make a lasting impact and let our veterans know they are celebrated and remembered.
LeatherstockingHonorFlightNY.org is a local organization that invites and finances the veterans to go to D.C. and enjoy the day. and return to Albany that same day. They will visit war monuments, Arlington National Cemetery, and other historic sites. Times are approximate as actual flight times are subject to weather and unexpected events. They may not have been welcomed when they returned home from their tour of duty , but we certainly will welcome home this time.
